Your best month is rarely created in the month it happens.

👋 Welcome back to the final Content to Commas of the year. This is the weekly playbook for making your content work harder for your brand and your bank account.

I went back and forth on what felt worth sending as the last issue of 2025.

A goals email? A planning framework? Continue on 2026 social/content trends? All useful. None of them felt honest enough…

Because December ended up being my best month ever, and I didn’t plan for it at all.

I realized that month was already paid for by decisions I made weeks and months earlier.

Instead, I want to leave you with one idea that explains why some months feel effortless and others feel stuck.

📌 In this issue:

  • Why your biggest wins come from work no one sees

  • 3 types of “invisible work”

  • How to set yourself up now for a better 2026

Let’s go build,

FROM OUR FRIENDS @ BEEHIIV

You can (easily) launch a newsletter too

This newsletter you couldn’t wait to open? It runs on beehiiv — the absolute best platform for email newsletters.

Our editor makes your content look like Picasso in the inbox. Your website? Beautiful and ready to capture subscribers on day one.

And when it’s time to monetize, you don’t need to duct-tape a dozen tools together. Paid subscriptions, referrals, and a (super easy-to-use) global ad network — it’s all built in.

beehiiv isn’t just the best choice. It’s the only choice that makes sense.

🙈 The work no ones sees…

When people look at a great month, they usually see the outcome.

A referral. A signed deal. A DM that starts with “are you available?”

What they don’t see is the sequence that didn’t make that moment feel forced.

the reality of hard work

The follow-up that wasn’t sent immediately. The detail that was remembered. The tough thing that was removed long before anyone asked.

Invisible work is what makes momentum feel accidental when it isn’t.

I think about invisible work in three buckets…

1. Relationships Matter!

People don’t remember who pitches the most, unless your are so annoying they put your on the block list.

They remember who feels thoughtful and easy to work with.

This isn’t about being generous for show. It’s about memory management.

Invisible relationship work looks like:

  • Closing loops after projects end

  • Saying thank you without attaching an ask

  • Remembering preferences, timing, and context

A small gesture weeks after a project ends does more than a loud check in during launch season.

Simple gestures matter the most.

In the end, whether it's sales, marketing, services, or products, it all comes back to people. You are always dealing with people.

2. Make the “yes” easy

Every "no" I've said isn't because the offer isn't good.

The offer might be good, but you need to earn my yes.

If someone has to email you twice to understand what you offer, how pricing works, & what happens next.

You are making your ideal customer work to spend … that’s silly.

Invisible “yes” work looks like:

  • Clear pricing that answers questions before they’re asked

  • Updated links, bios, and landing pages

  • Clear next steps

You’re not trying to sound fancy, you want to come across decided.

Every unanswered question creates a pause. Enough pauses turn into silence.

3. Turn off the “one-off” mindset

Don’t let opportunities go quiet.

^ that’s the cliff notes FYI.

Continuity work is what keeps things warm without forcing urgency.

here’s what it looks like:

  • Writing notes after calls

  • Tracking last touchpoints

  • Following up with context instead of “just circling back”

Referencing someone’s launch, travel, or goal weeks later tells them you weren’t just selling. You were listening.

That’s how one off wins turn into repeat work.

The second deal is always easier than the first.

But only if you treat people like humans instead of transactions.

If you want a better 2026, focus on this concept …

The key to success in most things is being consistent and letting time work its magic.

The key takeaway from this year's newsletter has been compounding.

  • What you made last year can truly be what you make in a month.

  • The number of "no's" you've received will become the "no's" you give.

  • The places you are eager to be accepted into will be the same places you later decide to decline.

I’m proof of it all.

It begins with taking action, not just thinking about starting.
