I promise you, no one's DMing you saying "hey, you posted this already."

👋 Welcome back to Content to Commas, the weekly playbook for creators, founders, and content pros who want their content working as hard as they do.

In a few weeks, I become a dad for the first time. (😄 + 😅 + 😱)

This has also been the busiest quarter I've had since being independent.

So I've been batching. Recording YouTube, writing newsletters through September, testing new systems to create more content, and trying to bank enough that you still get something real from me every week while I'm out.

And when I sat down to fill in the calendar, I got honest with myself.

I don't have it in me to invent 3 months of new posts.

So I opened my own archive.

This issue is about working your content archive so those good post get another shot.

📍 In this issue:

  • Why your strongest post from 2025 is the best thing to post next week

  • How to build a ‘Viral Vault’

  • What to change when you repost something you believed in

  • How to analyze top performers with Lovable

Let's lock in.

P.S. Thank you to everyone in this community! Content to Commas is on a Times Square billboard right now, thanks to beehiiv and you. 15 months ago, I hit publish and today it's in lights in the middle of Manhattan, and that is entirely because of you. Thank you for reading every week. It means more than a billboard ever could 🤍

a message from our friends at Lovable

The way I work now is next level.

We all have ideas but the time between "idea" and "real thing" is a major gap for many teams. (trust I've been there)

I’d bet the tool your team needs this quarter is sitting in a graveyard of ideas.

With Lovable, the person with the idea is the person who develops it. You describe the tool, get a real working app with real integrations in minutes.

Don't believe me? I took an old newsletter and turned it into a live site where you can now paste in any LinkedIn posts (just to test it out).

click to test it out for yourself

And it breaks down why this post works and gives you five things you can incorporate in your next post. Use it on your content, your competitors' content, or your brand's content.

Over 50M projects have been built this way, with 200,000+ more every day.

My new Post Autopsy tool went from idea to live in less than 6 minutes.

🛑 Don't delete it. Post it again.

A lot of advice treats idea creation as something we just ask AI and posting as something you do one time.

Write it, post it, look at the numbers, and move on.

Views were never a verdict on your idea.

Think about who follows you right now versus who followed you in February.

A real chunk of your audience has never seen your best work, many because they weren't there yet.

& the people who "already saw it", also saw 1000s of other posts.

Your archive isn't old content, it's tested content sitting in front of an audience that's forgotten about it since you last published it.

📨 Your best content isn't finished.

If it did well one time, it will do well again.

I promise I've done this several times on LinkedIn, and I doubt people notice

1. Build the vault

Open a Google Sheet. Call it the Viral Vault.

Every time a post outperforms your standards, it goes in as a row.

That's the entire system.

copy my ‘viral vault’ template

The columns that matter: post link, date, platform, format, hook, and result or notes.

Log saves and shares, not just likes.

  • Start with the last twelve months, sorted by saves and shares

  • Six columns, no more. A vault you dread updating is a vault you abandon.

  • Add a "reposted on" column now, even though it's empty. You'll need it.

💡 Pro Tip: Claude or ChatGPT can do this for you automatically. Just tell it to look at your socials, create a baseline per platform based on the engagement it sees, and anything that's an outlier, add it to the sheet every single month.

2. Run the winners back

Wait 3-8 months, then post it again.

I wouldn't go much shorter unless your posting volume is high.

Your original stays up.

There's no penalty for having both, and the first one is still quietly working for you in search and on your profile.

For a post that genuinely performed, fight the urge to improve it. You already know this version works. Polishing it is how you lose the thing that made it work in the first place.

3. Tweak the ones you still believe in

Somewhere in your archive is a post that didn't do as well as you wanted it to do.

You still believe in that idea. It's just time to make a small tweak.

Those get different treatment.

  • Rewrite the hook or text overlay

  • Change the container. So a text post becomes a carousel and a carousel becomes a 40 second talking head.

Maybe it’s the CTA?

Swap a passive close for a Manychat trigger in the caption.

"Comment VAULT and I'll send you the sheet" … now the post has a job, and every comment powers more distribution.

If it worked, run it back untouched. If it flopped and you still believe it, change exactly one thing.

I promise you, you won't regret it, and at the very least, your content gets stronger the more learnings you have about your audience.
